Evolution Markets, the leader in environmental commodities brokerage and services, will facilitate an auction of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on behalf of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The auction brings supply to the MA Class I and Solar Carve-Out II markets ahead of the 2025 compliance filing deadline.
“MassCEC is bringing needed supply of MA Class I RECs to market in this auction event as we near the 2025 compliance filing deadline,” said Peter Zaborowsky, Managing Director at Evolution Markets. “MA Class I 2025 REC pricing has been trending toward the $40.00 Alternative Compliance Payment in what appears to be a supply-constrained market.”
