Xpansiv Connect Update

This update covers recent, new, and upcoming developments, including performance enhancements, on Xpansiv Connect, the leading multi-registry, multi-asset portfolio management system and integration hub for the energy transition markets.
- New Performance Enhancements Speed Batch Processing
- Xpansiv Connect Network Expands to 17 Renewable Energy, Carbon, Digital Fuel and Recycled Material Registries
- Digital Fuels Registry for Clean Transport Credit Goes Live
- Gold Standard Phase 1 integration Now Operational
- Welcome to the Recycled Materials Standard Registry
Since launching the Xpansiv Connect integration hub and portfolio management system in 2024, we have continuously added new registries, new asset classes, and implemented system upgrades to enhance the system’s utility and usability.
New Performance Enhancements Speed Batch Processing

We are pleased to report that we have implemented improved batch processing for the integration with the NEPOOL registry. We estimate this will cut processing times by 40 to 50% for outbound transactions, reducing processing overhead, among other benefits.
We have also upgraded the portfolio user interface functionality to speed up the overall performance of the batch sell creation and submission process for all registries. The larger the batch, the larger the performance improvement.
Next up are the following performance upgrades:
- Non-Xpansiv Connect to Xpansiv Connect GIS transfer syncing, significantly accelerating the time for incoming transfers to reach the Current Transactions screen
- PJM syncing to streamline processing of new issuances, new incoming transfers and retirements.
- NEPOOL batch retirements, enabling the processing of retirements in batch sizes of up to 2,500, substantially improving the speed of retirement processing.
These enhancements follow the NEPOOL performance upgrades released late last year that increased transfer speeds by up to 2,000%. They are the latest of an ongoing program to further accelerate transfers across all registries, to optimize process notifications, and to upgrade front-end functionality to support batch creation and notifications.
Digital Fuels Registry for Clean Transport Credit Goes Live
In addition to the leading REC and carbon registries integrated with Xpansiv Connect, we have recently linked voluntary clean transportation fuels and recycled materials to expand the range of available instrument types.

Specifically, the Digital Fuels Registry, which tracks Transport Emission Reduction Certificates (TERCs), a voluntary clean fuel certificate, is now live enabling these instruments to be managed alongside renewable energy and carbon credits on Xpansiv Connect.
Decarbonizing the transportation sector is critical because it is one of the largest and most difficult-to-abate sources of greenhouse gas emissions, driven by legacy fossil-fuel-dependent infrastructure that requires market-based incentives, like TERCs, to accelerate meaningful change. To date, the TERCs program has issued over 800,000 certificates for its biofuels program.
In addition to supporting innovative solutions like TERCs, Xpansiv operates in both the voluntary and compliance clean transportation and renewable fuels markets in North America and Europe, as well as the global Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) market.
- Last year, more than 350,000 California Low-Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits were traded through Xpansiv CBL spot exchange.
- Evident, which Xpansiv acquired last year, operates the Fly-i SAF registry
- Xpansiv’s OTX market execution business serves the renewable fuel and renewable fuel credit markets in Europe.
Gold Standard Phase 1 integration live
The first phase Gold Standard Impact Registry-Xpansiv Connect integration, which streamlines trading and automates settlement of the registry’s VERs, including voluntary, Article 6 and newly tagged CORSIA EEUs, is now live.
The Phase 1 integration delivers significant process improvements, including:
- CBL participants with Gold Standard registry accounts used for trading on the CBL Exchange can now use Xpansiv Connect to manage their deposit and withdrawal activity in the same streamlined way they manage voluntary credits and standardized GEO credits from other voluntary credit registries. This enables existing Xpansiv Connect users to use the system’s familiar workflows to manage Gold Standard positions.
- And for the purely GS CBL participants, this provides them with an opportunity to experience Xpansiv Connect to manage their GS exchange activity for the first time. It also eliminates a lot of the operational overhead required for processing deposits, withdrawals, and the return of credits to a participant’s parent accounts.
Xpansiv Connect Network Expands to 17 Renewable Energy, Carbon, Digital Fuel and Recycled Material Registries
The recent integrations of the Gold Standard Impact Registry and GreenBlue’s Recycled Materials Standard, brings the number of Xpansiv Connect-linked registries to 17, with more in pipeline for later this year.
